Certified Integral Coach

Welcome

Here, we practice the skills that allow us to unfold our potential and live a meaningful life through applying human development theories and personalized learning styles.

Knowing ourselves is key for building a deeper connection with life. As an integral coach and educator, I guide my clients towards reaching their existing potential. The journey we’re on is about developing the ability to see and utilize the full range of resources we already have in our personal toolkit.

Whether you are taking care of yourself, another person, or a group of people, you can tap into your inner power to empower those around you as you create trusting, long-lasting, and meaningful connections with yourself and others.

My Approach

Vertical self-growth is about opening up our hearts to more meaningful connections. It is not about becoming a better version of ourselves; we already have the best version of ourselves. We just need to dust off and decalcify the layers of trauma to make this inner gold shine. This is when we begin to feel belonging, connectedness, and lucidity in our own skin.

My approach to coaching is based on the Integral life model by Ken Wilber and Ego Development Theory by Susanne Cook-Greuter, both influenced by Martin Heidegger's theories of human development that continue to be the key factors to a fulfilled and meaningful life. I also apply narrative coaching tools developed by David B. Drake to work with my clients to help them retell their stories from a resiliency point of view and help them get in touch with the strength they already have within them.

The overall transformation process of learning and change I propose includes five main phases that would be personalized for each client:

  1. Recognizing the current patterns of being that are limiting us

  2. Accepting patterns and their related behavior in us

  3. Contemplating a new pattern

  4. Embodying the new pattern

  5. Repeating the Process until Mastery and recognizing other Limiting habits.

Recognizing the current patterns of being that are limiting us

Our current patterns are based on our perception of the world. These patterns were helpful in our youth to survive life challenges, but as adults, do we still want to limit ourselves to survive or expand our life to be more creative using the cognitive ability that we are gifted with as humans?

It takes time and patience to identify the existing patterns in our everyday lives, so you can start by asking yourself some of the following questions:

  •  How have we developed our current habits?

  • How do our current habits show up in our everyday life?

  • Are our current habits emotional, behavioral, and/or somatic? How can we recognize our subconscious habits?

  • What are some topics we're fixated on?

  • What limitations are our current patterns creating for us?

A coach is your support, confidant, and mirror through this journey. They help bring essential points to your attention and guide you towards personal clarity.

Accepting patterns and their related behavior in us

  • Accepting that imperfection is natural and universal provokes courage for change. Acceptance is the first step that facilitates change from old to new. When we recognize an old habit, we can reflect on its belief by asking ourselves questions such as:

  • Do I agree with this?

  • Do I have conflicting beliefs that are causing contradictory behavior?

  • Are there double standards?

Don't worry - you won't be alone as you discover these answers; your coach will walk you through this process to remind you of the strength and courage that already exists in you.

  Contemplating a new pattern

Reflecting on new patterns can feel daunting at times. Try asking yourself some of the following:

  • What would make me feel more authentic and comfortable in my skin?

  • What would make me more resilient toward life's challenges?

  • What would breed more wisdom and self-regulation in me? How can I widen my perspective?

  • How can I bring clarity to my beliefs?

Your coach is here to discuss these matters and help you sketch the outline of your path forward.

 Embodying the new pattern

Choosing and understanding a new pattern cognitively and using language to explain it is a significant step in the healing process. However, it only becomes second nature after we practice it regularly and live it in our body while consciously feeling the related emotions and body sensations.

Your coach helps you recognize these body sensations and feelings while you explore how they feel in your body with the existing patterns. The new routine is built on your inner wisdom.

It feels liberating while making you feel more comfortable living in your body.

Recognizing other Limiting Patterns and Repeating the Process until Mastery

Practice often and when you are not in a crisis, so you're more prepared for the next challenge in life. Believe in the practices with your entire body, feel the change it creates and remind yourself of the why behind this repetition. Embodying courage, purposefulness, and compassion requires attention, body movement, and emotional engagement to rewire the neuron paths for a new pattern. When you learn to swim, ride a bike, or play an instrument, you need to fully engage in embodying the new pattern. That is how neuroplasticity plays its role in helping us actualize more of our potential. And when one new liberating pattern becomes second nature in your body, you have more capacity to work on another one as progress and vertical development happens one step at a time.
