Mental Health Literacy: Emotional Awareness

Mental Health Literacy: Emotional Awareness (in-person)

This is one of three mental health literacy seminars led by Shabnam Curtis, certified integral life coach. Parenting, caregiving, having a full-time job, managing finances, and keeping up with social connections successfully requires a lot of self-care and self-awareness. In this series, Ms. Curtis will discuss the skills necessary to live more in harmony and manage our daily stress through learning more about our bodies and emotions.

This particular workshop focuses on emotional health literacy. It will teach how our emotions are made, how we can observe them and listen to their messages, and how we can change our approach to our emotions in a constructive way.

The workshop style is a mix of lecture, short practices, reflection, and sharing experiences with the class.

The class will be held in two formats. Attendees may go to whichever format they prefer. The content will be identical.

Click here to register for this in person session at Reston Regional Library in Virginia on August 26th.
